Please do make sure that candidate bring along the examination form when going for the tests. The worker must pass the examination, and you need the completed medical form to get the Work Pass issued.

Those who fail the examination will have to be sent home.

NEW APPLICANTS

The Medical Examination may be done in Singapore by any registered General Practitioner (GP).

Applicants who are:

Who are in their home countries
Places of residence may have their Medical Examination and HIV test done in their home county
Places of residence at any medical clinic licensed to carry out such tests.

If HIV testing is done in Singapore, it may carried out with either rapid of ELISA tests

RENEWAL APPLICANTS

The Medical Examination MUST be done in Singapore by any registered GP, as required under the MOH guidelines. HIV testing may be done with either rapid or ELISA tests. The form can be found here.

All applicants of OBS programmes are required to submit a Medical Declaration Form.

For selected programmes, there would be a need to obtain medical recommendation from a physician and be certified ‘medically fit’ prior to the programme.

If you have an existing medical condition, you should consult your attending physician. You may wish to visit your family doctor for the medical examination.

Please note that we only accept recommendations from Registered Medical Practitioners

The 6ME test results must be certified by a Singapore-registered doctor.

The 6ME letters from Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will state the tests your helper needs to do.
Employers will receive the letters and forms via local mail or print out from the Ministry of Manpower Portal using Singpass.

All results will be submitted by clinics.

Employers may use FDW eService (MOM) to check for submission and view the results. Please do also take note that employers or their representatives should not be present during the examination.

A food handler is any person who handles and prepares food and beverages in SFA-licensed food retail establishments.

Driving License

If you are 65 years of age and above and possess a Singapore driving or provisional driving licence, you are required to undergo and pass a medical examination with a Singapore registered medical practitioner in order to continue driving in Singapore.

All medical examinations to be done for the validation of any licence must be within 2 months prior to their birthday (i.e. if your birthday is on 1 September 2021, your medical examination must be done within the period of 1 July 2021 to 31 August 2021).

Class 2B, 2A, 2, 3C(A), 3C, 3A & 3

You need to submit the completed medical examination report to Traffic Police prior to your 65th birthday and every 3 years thereafter (e.g. age 68, 71, 74).

Class 4, 4A, 5

You need to submit the completed medical examination report to Traffic Police prior to your 65th birthday and for every year thereafter if you wish to drive until the age of 75.

All completed medical examination reports must be submitted to Traffic Police 4 weeks prior to their birthday to facilitate prompt validation of the licence.
