Nationally-recommended vaccinations

From 1 November 2020 onwards, Pioneers who meet the criteria for vaccination under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) are eligible for subsidies for nationally-recommended vaccinations.

At CHAS Clinics, please bring your PG card and your NRIC when you visit CHAS clinics to enjoy your subsidies

Singapore Citizens who were born on or before 31 December 1949, and became a Singapore Citizen on or before 31 December 1986 would be eligible for the Pioneer Generation Card. This entitled them to enjoy special subsidies at any CHAS General Practitioner (GP) clinics.

Nationally-recommended vaccinations

From 1 November 2020 onwards, MG seniors who meet the criteria for vaccination under the National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) are eligible for subsidies for nationally-recommended vaccinations.

* In order to receive subsidies for Public SOC visits, you will first need to be assessed and referred by a CHAS clinic or polyclinic. The doctor will refer you to a Public SOC as a subsidised patient if needed.

Singapore Citizens who were
Born from 1 January 1950 to 31 December 1959, and became Singapore Citizen on or before 31 December 1996
OR
Born on or before 31 December 1949, and became Singapore Citizen on or before 31 December 1996 and did not receive the Pioneer Generation Package,
would be eligible for the Merdeka Generation Card. This allows them to enjoy special subsidies at any CHAS General Practitioner (GP) clinics.

Community Health Assist Scheme(CHAS)

The Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) allows all Singaporean Citizens to receive subsidies for approved Healthcare treatments at participating General Practitioner clinics. This will include acute or chronic treatments depending on the different tiers of each individual household monthly income or Annual Value (AV) of the home as indicated.

All Singapore Citizens are eligible for CHAS. The CHAS benefits will be tiered according to household monthly income per person or the Annual Value (AV) of the home, as indicated in the table below:

^ Household monthly income per person is the total gross household monthly income divided by total number of family members living together. Gross monthly income refers to your basic employment income, trade/self-employed income, overtime pay, allowances, cash awards, commissions, and bonuses.

^^ The AV of your home is the estimated annual rent if it is rented out. It is assessed by IRAS.

Medisave & CDMP (Chronic Disease Management Programme)

The Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) by the Ministry of Health (MOH) helps Singaporeans and Permanent Residents manage selected chronic conditions more affordably.

Under CDMP, you can use your Medisave to pay for part of your outpatient treatment costs for approved chronic diseases at participating clinics.

Who is Eligible?

  • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
  • Diagnosed with any of the 23 approved chronic conditions under CDMP, including:
    • Diabetes
    • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
    • Lipid Disorders (High Cholesterol)
    • Asthma / COPD
    • Osteoporosis
    • Stroke
    • Arthritis
    • Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia
    • And more... (full list available from MOH)

How Medisave Can Be Used

  • Up to $500/$700 per year from patient's Medisave account
  • Only the 15% co-payment (after Medisave claims) will be paid by patient in cash
  • From 1 Feb 2024, patients seeking CDMP treatment at their enrolled Healthier SG clinics will have the 15% waived. Medisave will be used to fully pay for the CDMP bills, up to the relevant annual limits under Medisave 500/700 scheme.
  • Payment applies to consultation fees, prescribed medications, and necessary investigations related to your chronic condition.
